Comments on the firm's part-time policy:
· The Firm offers "flex-time" at 60% to 80%
of the workweek to requesting attorneys - male or female - on
a case-by-case basis.
· Part-time attorneys who exceed their part-time hours
are eligible for pro rated bonus compensation and salary adjustments.
Several of the firm's partners have worked "flex-time hours"
at some point in their careers. At present, 25 attorneys -- including
2 partners -- work flex-time hours. The Women's Committee, together
with the Personnel Committee, has formed a task force to assess
flexible working arrangements at the firm.
· The Firm maintains a lactation room for new mothers in
each of its New York, Los Angeles and Palo Alto offices to facilitate
their transition back to work.
